Getting started
Sign in and find your way
How to sign in to Srishti with your Kapiva Google account, where you land, what each item in the left menu opens and who sees it, and how to sign out.
- Everyone
Srishti is Kapiva's tool for planning and running new-product projects, from the brief to launch. You sign in with your Kapiva Google account; there is no separate password.
Everyone starts on My Activities. The left menu then shows only the pages your page access allows, so two people can see different menus. This page walks through signing in, the menu, notifications, your account and signing out.
Sign in with Google
Srishti uses Google sign-in only. Your account must be on Kapiva's Google Workspace (your @kapiva.in address), and an admin must have added you in User Management first. Nobody can sign up on their own.
- Open Srishti. On the public page, choose Sign in.
- Choose Sign in with Google. Google asks you to pick an account. Pick your Kapiva account.
- Land on My Activities. Once Google confirms who you are, Srishti opens My Activities.
Where you land
After sign-in everyone lands on My Activities: your own activities, tasks, documents and conversations, grouped by project. See My Activities for the whole page.
If you followed a link while signed out, for example from a notification email, Srishti sends you to sign-in first and then back to that page. If your page access does not include that page, you land on My Activities instead.
The Srishti logo at the top of the menu always brings you back to My Activities.
The left menu
The menu lists the pages your page access opens. A page set to None for you is left out, not greyed out. Pages are grouped: your everyday pages first, then Templates, then Administration.
| Menu item | What it opens | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| My Activities | Your activities, tasks, documents and conversations | Everyone |
| Portfolio | The Portfolio dashboard of active projects | Portfolio: View |
| Projects | The project list and each project's page | Projects: View or Action |
| Approvals & Alerts | Approvals awaiting you, activity approvals and notifications | Everyone |
| Activity Templates | The templates new projects start from | Templates: View or Action |
| Document Storage | The folder structures project documents are filed under | Templates: View or Action |
| User Management | People, teams, page access and escalation managers | User Management: View or Action |
What each level lets you do on these pages is on Page access.
The arrow next to the logo folds the menu down to icons; hover an icon to see its name. Srishti remembers your choice on this browser. On a narrow screen the menu is hidden behind the menu button at the top left.
Notifications
Notifications sits at the bottom of the menu, above your name. A red number shows how many you have not read (9+ when there are more than nine).
- Click Notifications. A window lists your ten latest notifications, newest first, each with its time.
- Mark what you have read. Choose Mark read on a notification. The count goes down.
- See everything. Choose View all in Approvals & Alerts for the full list, filters and Mark all read.
When there is nothing new the window says "You're all caught up." What sends a notification, and when reminders and escalations go out, is on Notifications, reminders and escalations.
Your account and profile
The card at the very bottom of the menu shows your name and email. Click it to open the account menu, with View profile and Logout.
View profile opens My Profile. It is read-only and shows:
- Name and email
- Your name and the Google account you sign in with.
- Team
- The team you belong to, or "Not assigned".
- Escalation L1 and L2
- The people your due-today and overdue alerts escalate to, or "Not assigned".
- Page access
- Each of the five modules with your level: No access, View or Action.
To change any of these, ask your administrator. The page says the same: "To update these details, contact your administrator."
Sign out
- Click your name at the bottom of the menu. The account menu opens.
- Choose Logout. Srishti ends your session and opens the public Srishti page.
If the sign-out does not go through, the menu stays open with "Could not sign out. Please try again." You are still signed in until it succeeds, so try again before you leave a shared computer.
